The Comune of Camaiore boasts a wealth of very different places.
It doesn't take long to go from the beach at Lido di Camaiore to the green countryside, the hills, the Garfagnana region and the Apuan Alps.

The Tuscany section of this pilgrim route is long and varied, and has 17 stops including Camaiore, with its historic centre and ancient abbey. It’s a stunning stage of the walk, close to the sea and with panoramic views of the hills and mountains, to be completed in a day or lengthened to several.

The Via Francigena is not only an alternative route that leads to the discovery of unique landscapes, villages and artworks, but also an exploration of ancient culinary traditions and the most authentic Tuscan food.

The climate is mild in winter and never too hot in summer.
